Lessons and accommodation

English Classes

Our English-language teachers are friendly, welcoming and qualified, with a wide range of experience. They love what they do and work very hard to help students achieve their personal goals.


Classes take place on the same site as your accommodation. Students are grouped according to age and level of English.


Bring local history and culture into your English classes by choosing themed English-language lessons - the Industrial Revolution, street art, 'Our Planet Matters', slavery and abolition, and more!


Accommodation

Residential accommodation (ages 12+).


Ideal for groups of younger students, teens, adults and corporates groups, YHA Bristol is situated in a former waterfront grain house, which has been sympathetically restored to offer relaxed, well-appointed accommodation in the perfect city-centre location. You'll find many of the city’s very best attractions on the doorstep.


Dorm-style rooms sleeping 2-6 people are provided for students. Private rooms are available for teachers/group leaders. Some rooms have en-suite facilities.

For those rooms that don't have en-suite facilities, shared shower and toilet facilities are located close to each room.

Each room typically includes bunk beds, a reading light and storage cupboard for each guest which can be secured by a padlock if needed.


Breakfast and dinner is available in the on-site café/restaurant where plenty of choice is provided, and all dietary needs can be catered for. A packed lunch is also provided daily.

Activities and excursions

Artists, musicians, architects and scientists have sought inspiration in the awe-inspiring  city of Bristol. It's bursting with group-friendly things to do, both in the city centre and surrounding area.

Masterpieces of Victorian Britain such as Brunel's SS Great Britain and the Clifton Suspension Bridge await you in this city rich in maritime history. 

You're sure to find something to pique everyone's interest at one of the many museums and cultural spaces Bristol has to offer. 

Looking for something different? Bristol boasts a wide range of unique tours celebrating everything from pirates to street art.

Feeling adventurous? Take to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding and even sailing!


The nearby Cotswolds, Bath, Cardiff and the spectacular Cheddar Gorge make Bristol an excellent base for groups wanting to enjoy a day trip (or two!) as part of their stay.

We offer private door-to-door transfers, all escorted by a member of our team who, while on the journey, will give your students a welcome talk containing essential information for their first few days with us.  

Transfers are provided by executive minibus (smaller groups) or by private coach (larger groups) with direct transfer to accommodation.
