Our tailor-made group stays are perfectly suited to visiting overseas high-schools, corporate groups, groups of friends, clubs and associations.
With EngXcel, you ‘build-your-own’ study-holiday package, meaning you can add as much or as little as you like to build your perfect programme.
It's the flexible, tailor-made nature of our group stays in Cambridge that makes us different from the 'off the shelf' approach adopted by so many of our competitors. We believe that you should be able to build your own programme to meet the needs of all those concerned and to avoid paying unnecessary charges for things you may not want or need.
We specialise in:
You can opt for as much or as little as you like when designing your group's perfect programme:
We work with a number of trusted partners in order to provide our students with the quality of service they deserve. We have rigorous checks in place to ensure the quality and safety of the services provided by our partners - this includes keeping up-to-date copies of insurance policies, police checks and risk assessments.
Our language school teachers are friendly and welcoming, with a wide range of experience, not only in English-language teaching, but also in the business and academic worlds. This enables them to provide a variety of specialist courses to our visiting groups. Most importantly, they love what they do and work very hard to help students achieve their personal goals.
We provide homestay accommodation (minimum age 14). All homestay providers are inspected by us and are selected for inspection at random by our accrediting body. We have a number of friendly providers who are used to welcoming younger students from our visiting groups.
All homestay is located within the City boundaries, in the main residential areas – such as the CB4, CB5, CB1 and CB2 postcodes. All these areas are well served by the City’s frequent bus services.
As an alternative to homestay, and for younger groups for students, we work with established local hostel and hostel accommodation providers with the added benefit from trade rates.
Classes take place in central Cambridge in venues such as Jesus College, Anglia Ruskin University and Chesterton Community College. Which venue we use for which group will depend on the venue’s availability, the group size and perhaps the time of year (for example, Jesus College may not be available during the University exam period).
